Summa Franchise Consulting’s Executive Vice President, International Doug Bugie has over 40 years of experience establishing, leading, and growing over 800 executive and mid-management recruitment franchises in 38 countries. These businesses have filled more than 120,000 jobs and generated $1.3 billion in fee revenue.

After selling 300 franchises for the recruiting network MRI and running for Congress, Doug co-founded, led, and grew a London-based international recruitment franchise firm from a start up to 124 offices in 24 countries before selling it to the NYSE Fortune 500 parent company of MRI. He then led a successful turnaround of a London Stock Exchange-traded multinational recruiter and went on to invest and lead a recruitment franchise which grew from 15 to over 100 offices in 30 countries.

Doug’s achievements include the British Franchise Association’s Top International Franchisor Award, ISO 9002, and leading a franchise recognized as Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year. He has experience with venture capital in the start-up, scale up, and selling of recruitment businesses in the USA and globally.
